My first PC

i am currently in the process of building my first pc and need a little advice.
so far i already have an empty case (tower) and the following is a list of links to newegg.com containing the parts i am going to purchase. what i need to know is 5 things,
1: are all these parts compatable with each other? (i based my choices on similar stats)
2: is the power source i choose good enough? ( i was not sure how to get the amount i needed so i went for a middle amount)
3: is there anything else i will need , like extra fans or what not, i tried to get as many items with included fans as posible.(other than a keyboard and monitor and external cables)
here is the list.. and i thank all who assist me in advance.
4: is newegg a good website to order from, or is there a better one.
5: also, on newegg, what would be the best case for this setup for under $30 (id rather use a new one then the one i got)

I don't build AMD based computers so I'm not sure about the motherboard and CPU, but the other parts are compatible with the motherboard...except the power supply. You really don't want to use a $15 power supply with your new build. Cheap, low quality power supplies should be avoided like the plague...besides possibly providing "dirty" (power that isn't steady) to the computer there is also the chance that the power supply will die prematurely and possibly kill other components in the computer when it does. The power supply is actually the most important component in the computer and should be the last place you try to save money on. Always try to get the best power supply you can afford.

What is your bidget for all this?

I would look at a retail dvd burner. You might get software. Asus drives are good, also look at retail lite-on.

Seagate hd is good, but look at the newer 7200.10 or even .11 series.

That memorys is expensive. You could get 2x1gb for a similar price after rebates.

This could help you with a power supply: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195 I would probably change it.

I would drop the usb card. That MB already has 4 in the rear.

Don't forget keyboard and monitor.

Case is a personal choice.

2) no ..15 bux for 480w? i dont think so....i got a 600w coolermaster psu that is great... original price is $89.99 but i took advantage of neweggs deal when it was -$40 off original price plus a $50 mail in rebate which = freee ))))))) execpt shipping

3) wheres the case? i dont see it..but if you do decide on getting a case with fans already included id suggest to buy a couple of extra fans cuz fans that come with cases usually dont perform as good. But some are just fine, but it never hurts to add another fan or 2 to keep temps down.

4) yes newegg is my favorite...got all my new build parts form there..but there are a few, FEW, sites that might offer cheaper prices but the service of that site might not be as great as newegg, so check the ratings.. www.pricewatch.com

5) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811208009 is what i have. Its great and looks awesome. Comes with a $10 MIR so its $24.99 ... but shipping price could be a problem > <

I would get this ram instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590 This is much better for your system, expecially if your going to do any gaming.. Corsair is top of the line and for $27 more your getting a great deal...

I would use this psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103516 good quality and since your video card doesn't require direct power from the psu 400 watt is plenty.

thanx so far for all of your help. ive gone over the information and here are some conclusions to answer some questions you guys had and some changes i made
ive decided to go with a budget case with its own fan,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147066

i will go with the new memory choice, thanx for that, i still need to go back through and look for decreased prices before i buy them this weekend.

i have changed things around to acomodate the sugested power supply, thnx alot with that.

i already have 3 monitors, 6 keyboards, and 11 mouses, the only reason im buying a new mouse is because the one i have now (my favorite) the left click doesnt work so i bought the black version of it for only $10

i do need a fron USB for my memory stick and controllers

i do have a budget, 600 or 680 if needed.
i also still need to purchase a capture card so i must be sure to include that.

the total for these items (new items included) is $607 with shipping

i do have a few more questions.
is using a graphics card better than an internal one?
based on all these stats of my parts, would i be able to play the new Unreal Tournament 3 at its lowest settings, i tried to go for medium. i dont plan to play it now, but it is where i set my sights for a gaming pc.

careful on cheap stuff ..you get what you pay for...id look at the reviews of cheap stuff and decide on other peoples experiences.

Are you saying is using a graphics card bttr then the one on a motherboard? the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not with 2days advancing tech.

im sorry to keep bother all of you but i have one final question.. i have kept the same motherboard but have changed the processor. what determines the compatability between motherboard and processor other than socket type.

here is my MB i chose
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131174
here is the new processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103773

Compatable? if not, why?
I hope this will be the last time i need to bother you all, i have comfirmed that all the other parts are compatable, but during my last run through i could not determine 100% if these 2 were.

The other thing that determines if a CPU is compatible with a Mobo is the FSB. The max FSB on that motherboard is 1000Mhz. I'm not good with AMD so I'm not too sure if hte 6000+ is equal to or under that.

ASUS has a CPU support chart for all their motherboards. The M2A-VM HDMI does support the Athlon 64 X2 6000+. For future reference.
