How is this for a Build?
I'm currently building a new gaming rig. nothing too special and my budget is only about $450. It's something to tide me over until next year when I get some money. Tell me how it is and anything I could change for increased performance without extra cost or similar performance with less cost. Thanks and I really appreciate the help.
Mobo: ASUS P5B-MX CPU: E4400 2.0 ghz Video Card: x1950 pro 256mb RAM: 2GB GSKILL DDR2 800 PSU: RAIDMAX RX-450K 450 W Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 Any part I did not list, I already have and do not need a new one of. Like I said, my budget is about $450. |

Welcome to PCMech. I'd swap the motherboard for the Asus P5KPL-VM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...1197&Tpk=p5kpl It has a newer chipset so you'll be ready for upgrades down the road. The P5B series is older tech at this point.
You definitely need to change the power supply. RaidMax units are junk and its important to use a good unit for system stability. Spend a few more bucks here and go with this Fortron unit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...fortron%2b450w
