New Build Not POSTing
I am having an unusual problem with my new build. The (edit: pc) was functioning like it should, from my initial build, for the past 48 hours. That is, it worked fine an hour ago.
Now the green led lights up when power is connect to the pc, then when I press the power button the case fans and internal leds light up briefly then stop before POSTing can begin, this is repeated indefinitely. No beeps, no hdd wind up, nothing. Out of case troubleshooting has been done with no results and I am inches away from RMAing the mobo. Is there any reason to believe that this is not a motherboard failure? Thanks for your expertise. Start testing each part from the CPU to PSU (Power Supply Unit) if possible by taking them out and placing them into a different, compatible, working PC.

I don't know if this helps but from scouring these and other forums (PC Pitstop, virtual dr, etc) this is fairly common, Poohbear (in a post below) is having a similar problem. As are others in the forum. The end result is to RMA the mobo. But how, in my hours/days (weeks...
) of research, have I never heard about these kinds of failures until today? Are they expected by you more experienced builders (this is my second build in 8 years)?

Don't be so surprised if you did get a bad part, those kinds of things happen.. from the sound of it, since it has been working for about 2 days, i wouldn't think you did anything wrong in the process of putting it together.
