HELP!!! Computer build problem!!!
Hello i recently built a computer, i put it together following everything inside the manuals i was given. when i start up my machine i do not get anything to show up on my moniter. Everything is connected i am getting signal from the computer(the moniter isnt showing that message that it has no signal but is on) and the computer seems to be running. i opened up the inside while it was running and saw that the 120mm fan closest to the 12v power was not running. now my power supply is plugged into the main 24 pin power switch. but my power supply only gave me a 4 pin power connect for the 12v and the 4pin connects to the wrong side(it is supposed to connect to pins 1,2,5,6; but connects to pins 3,4,7,8). so im kinda leaning to the problem being the board isnt completely powered up because it is missing that 12v power. if anyone can think of any other reason that it wouldnt be working please let me know i am open to all ideas.
Current build specs for soon to be computer Quad core intel processor 2.4 ghz 1333 front side bus 4gb ram 320gb HDD 500 watt power supply 512mb graphics card(has sli capability, and also requires auxilary power) |

Welcome to PCMech. We need some more detailed specs. What motherboard and power supply are you using?
