crysis

okay guys, I was on here awhile ago and built a computer with your help.

2.4ghz intel quad core

4gb of ram

8800gt video card

i was playing the crysis demo on very high and im only getting 15-20 fps average less in the video parts.

im just wondering if this is my video card or if the real game will be less glitchy and have better framerates.

what do you guys think?

is overclocking an option because I'm not getting heat problems at all as it is even under load, so i guess i could oc my video card if i needed to.

This is just going to be normal for Crysis for awhile. Nothing can run it at max settings. That's how it was designed. How far do you have to turn it down to get good playability?

Perhaps if you had CrossFireX with 4 3870's you could run it on max.

Could it be that it's just the intro/outro video part? Some reason I have it in my head that those are pre-rendered and probably at higher resolution.

No it won't. Any "normal" current system will have to turn settings down to get good frame rates.
