OS DVD wont boot

This is my 2nd build. The 1st went fine, but I had help installing the Vista OS. On this one everything boots but I get message: boot from CD, then disc boot failure insert disc then press enter.

I have it set up like this:
1st boot CDROM
2nd boot HDD
3rd boot Floppy

I guess I am just missing something but I have tried numerous configs and cant get the OS to boot up. I have tried using another disc and got the same message. I have not switched out the DVD drive yet, this is an old DVDRW drive that I had in another system.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thats the first thing I would do considering it is an old one.

Do you mean you pass POST but cant boot into your OS? Or are you trying to install the OS still?
