PC setup

Ok this is the setup that I have come up with. . . . not too familiar with everything, so if you see something that can be changed please let me know

I built my current PC approximately 4 years ago, and need to start a new one. Just looking for a good gaming pc. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance!

The biggest thing I would change is the video cards. Instead of getting two of those, just get one of the 8800gt or gts. If you have the money, and want better, look at the gtx or ultra.

Might want to look at a retail version of the dvd burner. It will come with nero software.

And you could possibly lower the power supply unit, and save a few bucks. 700 is overkill.

Will I notice a big difference between the two worth the extra $$$ ?

Out of those two video cards, the 8800gt is better.

If looking at the gts, look for the newer ones, they have 512mb ram. Ithink they're labeled as G92.

For a nice power supply, look at the corsair 550. That should be enough, and is a good brand.

Ok, now for the operating system. . . . The vista OS I have no idea if I should go with the ultimate, primium or just the basic 64 bit. . . . I mainly will be using the pc for daily online computing and gaming. . .

Unless getting 4gb or more of ram, I wouldn't get the 64 bit versions.

Here is a link to the different versions available: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=174704
