Video Card Cooling

Hey everyone I just bought my new parts for my PC and I am going to SLI 2 BFG 8800 Ultras together and was wonder if I should put some sort of VGA cooling in to keep these bad boys at a lower temp. I am not planning on OCing anything just wonder if it is must to get some sort of cooling device?
Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about extra cooling on the cards themselves but make sure you have good case ventilation.

Most BFG's are OC'd from the factory.

If you want to add a better thermal compound that would be good as well.

Just remove the heatsink scrape off that crap they put on there and put some articsilver just make sure you dont get any on the circuitry of the board. Put the heatsink on and after so many cycles itll be a bit cooler.

If your cards have working fans then don't worry about it.

If they don't have fans then I would reccomend buying the Vantec PCI Fan

You can find it at tigerdirect.com and it fits into a slot above the cards and runs dual fans to cool the components off. If you are that worried about heat..buy it. It is about only a under 30 dollar product.

The cooler on the 8800 Ultra is more than adequate, it discharges most of the hot air out the back of the pc. As long as you have decent amount of case fans places in strategic places it is fine.
