Building my second Rig.
So a buddy of mine wanted a New PC so I gave him the my baby and he gave me his Motorcycle. Anyway that leaves me to build another PC.
Things I have 3x 150GB WD Raptors 1x 500 GB Seagate Barracudas 1x EVGA 8800 GTX 2g Crucial Ballistix Ram BL12864AA1065 Vista 32 Bit Ultimate OEM XP Pro SP1 My shopping list thus Far: Thermaltake Armor Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan Or New Armor+ Not decided yet. EVGA 768-P2-N835-A3 GeForce 8800GTX Superclocked; 1 or 2, 1 for SLI, 2 for Triple SLI EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard PLEXTOR 18X DVD±R Super Multi DVD Burner Black SATA Model PX-810SA/SW-BL MITSUMI Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal USB 2.0 digital card reader with Floppy Drive Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Conroe 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler Creative 70SB046A00000 7.1 Channels X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series BOSE® Companion® 2 Series II multimedia speaker system So far I can't figure out which Triple SLI Certified PSU I would want to go with, I was hoping to find that Modular had become Better but not so sure. Also not so sure about my sound card and those speakers.... Not really interested the surround sound cause I don't have the room. Was also looking at the Thermaltake Video Card coolers but I think they would void my EVGA warranty? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Mike |

I've taken a look at some of the power supplies, but the good ones have 4x6pin connectors and 2x8pin connectors, unless there is some way to convert 8pin into 6pin I don't have any recommendations. Just making sure here, does your 8800gtx have 2 6pin connectors or 1 6pin and 1 8pin? Also what kind of budget do you have?

How much do you have allocated for your power supply? Most power supplies for 3-way sli are over $200.

You best bet would bet to get a 750Watt power supply like this one for sli:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006 And at the time when you add a third video card, get this power supply for your third card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=BoosterX%2b3 |
