Which power supply

I have built my own system a few years ago and am going to be upgrading soon. I was just wondering if the older power supplies work with the new motherboards, or if you guys no of any good ones that will work good and are not too expensive. I am planning on going with this cpu and motherboard

Also using this cpu and motherboard combo can I still run windowsxp or do I have to use vista.

Thanks for your time.
