Motherboard DOA - Best way to clean paste from CPU/heat sink

What's the best way to clean up Arctic Silver from my CPU and Zalman heat sink/fan. My Asus Striker Extreme is DOA needing an RMA.

PS: I'm really fuming about the poor service from Asus at this point. Dead MB and poor Tech support and real morons in the RMA dept.

u ususally use a scraper or ball of paper to remove the bulk then, as pam123 said, use isopropyl alcohol to remove the residue.
