Modular Power supply an cpu question.
Ok so I'm forgoing just upgrading my video card and jumping right into building a new workstation and keeping the comp I have now for everyday use! Huzzah the more computers the better, I say!
![]() This one will be strictly for 3d modeling and graphics design. So as it is I have a centurion 5 case. Barracuda 320GB HD ASUS M2n Sli deluxe (wireless) mobo * 2Gb Crucial Ballistix Quadro fx1700 vid. I'm trying to figure out what Power supply I want and I would love for it to be modular (I HATE messy cords) but I am having a hard time finding them. Any suggestions? Also I'm not sure if I should run with a Phenom or an x2 6400. *is the wireless feature any good or should I just stick with the M2n Sli Deluxe? Thanks a ton guys much thanks!

For a modular PSU, can't beat the Corsair 520HX or it's big brother.
As for a built in wireless, I would look to see how it would be used: for surfing the web it would be OK but if it would be used for transfering file and such on a network, use the on-board ethernet. Now for a workstation, I would be more inclined to go with an Intel Quad E6600 and a basic Asus or Intel motherboard used for workstations versus a gamer board.
