no internet
Hello,
I just finished my first PC build and things were going great until I went to plug in the cat 6 cable. There is no lan light on the back of the computer, or on the router. My mobo comes with two coneections and I have tried both. I went to the bios and made sure they were enabled. I tried two cables and ports on the router. One of the cables I tried was plugged into a working computer. thank you for any help Brad |

You'll have to install drivers for the LAN on your motherboard. You should have a disk that came with your motherboard, pop that into your computer and install the LAN drivers. If you don't have the disk, download the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website from a working computer, and transfer it to your new computer. Once the drivers are transfered to your new computer, install them.
