linux help plz!!!!!

i am getting a asus m3a32 mobo, a phenom 9600 black edition processor, and 3870 radeon atomic, with 4 gigs of ram and i wanna run raid 0------------ is this possible with linux???
will linux recognize all of this stuff??? if so what version should i get and where should i get it from-----
p.s. i would like a 64-bit version of linux too!!!!! (if possible)

p.p.s. are there driver issues ???

Sounds like you're getting a pretty powerful computer, any specific reason for going with linux?

ATI drivers are horrible for linux, so the video card is a bit overkill for linux. I'm assuming you want to do gaming since you're getting a powerful card, vista is probably your best choice, although I find the 32-bit version to be a lot better than 64-bit.

It has compatibility issues with some programs, and works slowly with 32-bit programs since the 32-bit programs have to get their code translated to 64-bit before it can do anything.

Yes, enitrely possible. The most common way to install RAID 0 on linux is through software RAID, or FakeRAID. Different distros have certain ways of going about this so I'd suggest rummaging through some manpages or docs on using FakeRAID.

Have fun with ATI drivers in linux. Last time I remembered, a year or two ago, getting ATI drivers to play nice were a PITA.
