For that amount of money I don't think that monitors worth it;
Look at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001096 Better specs, better price and only 2 inches smaller. I'd reccomend ASUS for motherboard, look at the P5K Premium if you want a high end P35 board. I'd recommend Corsair over Mushkin for RAM, keep the exact same specs though - you got that spot on. Switch the hard drive to a Seagate, they've been better recently - look at the 32MB Cache ones. Switch the DVD drvie to a Lite-On one. Get retail if you want Nero with it. Don't need a CPU cooler unless your going to overclock. One other thing look at the Corsair 620W PSU, it's modular so would be less messy and you've still got loads of headroom with that. Good luck.

The 24" monitor is only about 20% bigger at almost double the price. Worth it? Personal choice.

Agree with devastator on most things.
The mb, hard drive, and memory he told you to get would be my first choices, but I don't think there is much wrong with what you picked either. Like was said, if not over clocking, forget the cpu cooler.

You can almost get an HD LCD TV for the price of that monitor.
For your budget you should consider higher end RAM with lower latency. You may want to consider 4 GB of RAM and a 64 bit version of Vista if that is what you are considering. I would also consider a hard drive with a 32mb cache in that size of a Hard Drive. |
