Welcome to PC Mech!
see you have gone AMD route, you tend to get more bang for your buck on Intel at the moment, AMD are far behind, i would recommend switching to a Core2Duo or core2quad system, but up to you! The videocard is good and youll have no problems with it. A-data dont make the best RAM you are best to go for corsair or Crucial in that department on AMD like this stick with the 800mhz, but if on intel and not overclocking save money with the 667mhz. You have selected 4gb RAM so to utilise that you will need a 64 bit Operating System, since there are issues with XP64, you are really looking at VISTA 64 bit version, check your existing hardware like printers all have drivers for 64 bit and any software you use can work on a 64 bit operating system, if not you will only use about 3.2GB of it at best. Most users are fine with 2gb, so may want to save some money. great choice on hard drive. rosewill power supplies are the among the worst available, it is likely to blow your motherboard or damage your other hardware (expensive), go for a decent manufacturer in this area, its not a place to be tight. Go for corsair, Fultron Force, PC power or other well respected brands, there is a sticky thread in Build your own forum listing the good and the bad PSUs. nice monitor. good burner choice, pleased to see you picked out a SATA model, however i would go for a lite-opn over ACER, and get their retail one with nero software. case looks fine.

Switch video to an 8800 GT 512, it is cheaper and faster. The older 8800 GTS 320s do not use the newer G92 chip. If it is within budget and you want to stay with a GTS, go for the newer 512 which has the G92 chip.
http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/01/...ming_graphics/ Dump the Roswell PSU, they are junk. check out this list for quality makers. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195 I will leave AMD to others, right now they are a step behind in performance, but do have a good upgrade path and can save you some $ in the lower to mid range systems. But I have not gone AMD for awhile so cant really recomend what is best. I would also go for a more name brand ram. Ram is cheap right now so you can probably get Corsair XMS for about the same price. But I have not heard anything really bad about A-data so it might be fine for your use. Kat
