No display with new mobo

I have new:

MSI K9A Platinum SATA, (2) PCI-Express slots, (4) SATA ports, (1) IDE port
AM2 4800+ CPU
FSB 500W dual rail (18A each) PSU
EVGA 7600GT PCI-Express graphics card
GSKILL DRR2 800 RAM (2 x 1 GB)

and using Western Digital HDD (IDE) w/XP SP2, Sony Trinitron CRT monitor which both work with my older system.

I can get everything to power up but I get no display. I have a VGA plug on the graphics card and HDD plugged into the (1) IDE mobo connection. (Once I get the system running I'm going to transfer data from the HDD (IDE) to a new HDD (SATA) which I have and use the HDD (SATA) with the mobo.) This is my first build and I've worked on this for a few days.

Can you at least see a bios screen, or a loading screen?

If not, try this, and make sure it's out of the case: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

I tried the link and I don't get any bios or any screen. I must be getting power to graphics card because card fan is on and I'm using the card's VGA adapter for my CRT monitor.
Monitor is functioning fine with my old system.

Is the motherboard in or out of the case right now? It has to be out of the case when troubleshooting.

So everything turns on but there is no display? Check your monitor and if thats not it I suspect the graphics card or motherboard.

Do you have spare compatible parts or can you borrow parts from someone?

I would try a different power supply first.
