First let me say, it took me 20 mins to remember the name of this site. Thankfully I did. Everyone here was such a great help a year ago when I built my first ever pc. So again thanks to all.
Now let's get to it. Last year Oct, 2006. I built a pc using a Raidmax Sagitta case that had included a 450w presecott PSU. Now at the time some people told me to get rid of that PSU and upgrade but in all honesty it seemed to work well enough for a needs. But now, it's making a sound sorta like when an old fan would speed up and slow down. It was always a load psu but more because of fans now you can clearly hear its louder and it needs replacement. What I need from all of you smart guys is this, what can I use with this case RAIDMAX SAGITTA and these internal items: P dual core e6300 - not overclocked 2 gigs patriot memory 1.8v pc25300 GIGABYTE GA-965P-S3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX 1 sata hard drive but i would like to add another 1 dvd r drive SAPPHIRE 100156L Radeon X1600PRO 256MB I do a lot of graphics and web design work and so far all of these parts have been fine (will get more ram) so i don't need any suggestions for upgrades just an idea for a PSU. the ones I have looked at so far: thermaltake 500w on sale at newegg and this one i can get locally which would be great because i really need to get back to work: Ultra LSP 550W The ultra I can't find any reviews on at all which stinks. It's $59 right here in town and it would be best because I need it asap but I need some ideas on how Ultra does? Guys, my $ is low I can spend about $60 including shipping. I know it's low but I'm not looking for extreme power just run those components i listed. Please let me know what type of PSU that case holds and what you think is the best option with links. I prefer newegg.com but if anyone thinks the ultra is ok let me know so i can pick it up tomorrow. thanks to everyone and I hope you all have a great new year. |

The thermaltake is a good choice for the price.
