I have been reviewing the forums the past few weeks and have decided to start putting together a system. I will be using it for gaming and general needs vidios dvds etc. I have never tried a build before and could use the feedback.
So far I have a coolmaster 832, a psu pcpwer & cool/ silencer 750 quad, an intel e8400. I need to pick a mobo and am not too sure which one to use and if so which one. The feedback shows alot of people having trouble with them or should I go with something else. The hard drive possibly the westen caviar RE2 750 GB 7200 The vidio evega 8800 gt memory gskill 4 gb ddr2 1000. thoughts and feedback wellcome Bryant Last edited by Alaron; 02-02-2008 at 06:39 PM. |

Only thing I would change is the ram. You don't need 4 gb of ram. Just 2 gb of corsair xms2 ddr2-800 is sufficient. Everything shadowpr recommended is good. Make sure you run a 32 bit OS.

Is there a particular P5k that will work well with this set up? Newegg has 15
listed. Alot of open boxes that have been returned. I've read the reviews where people have problems woth the bios. Is the ws version better etc. Thanks |

Pick ther version that has everything you need.
Highly recommended ones here are the P5K, P5K-e, and P5K-e/wifi. I would also stay away from open boxes for a mother board. Don't know what you're getting into. |
