Pretty good list. Just a few tweaks.

Go with an 8800GTS with 512MB. They are updated models that perform much better. eVGA is good to stick with.

Check that your DVD Burner comes with software. It's worth the extra few bucks to get a Retail drive that comes bundled with Nero.

I'd suggest buying everything from one source, like Newegg.

Finally, those speakers are going to be completely worthless. For $3, I don't know who they are kidding with that 400w rating. They have 6w between the two.

The runner up for the video card was BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS. What do think of that?

I'll look into it.

Why? That would cost more.

They're $3 speakers. I don't expect much. They'll do the job. If I find I need something better, I'll buy it then.

Make sure that motherboard supports that new CPU before you buy.

Did you price out each to newegg and include rebates to see if indeed it would cost you less?

All prices include shipping and MIR.

I may have missed some free shipping for over $200 deals that may apply. But I don't think any do.

FYI, the 8800 GTS 512 has the newer G92 GPU. Overclocked, it is darn near as fast as the GTX with the G90. Excellent choice.

That was the easy part. Most sites make it easy, by proving the shipping upfront. Those that don't you have to watch out for, cause they can have extra handling costs, that make the part wind up costing more then other apparently more expensive deals.

Especially hard was searching for a Hard disk and an optical drive. So many choices.
