Intel or nVidia chipset?

Will an Intel chipset work with two nvidia 512 8800 GTS cards in RAID?...or is it better to stick with nVidia chipsets for nVidia graphics cards?

Would it be better to go with an ASUS P5K3 board with the Intel chipset and get the DDR3 (yes I know it is expensive) or would it be better to go with an EVGA 780i board and get the nVidia chipset with DDR2? I plan on overclocking.

Thanks

I hear it is better to run Nvidia with Nvidia instead of Nvidia with intel...

What are the increased chance of problems with an Intel chipset? It is significant or nothing I would really need to worry about?

You can't run dual Nvidia cards with a Intel chipset, so if you plan on running two cards in SLI, then your only choice is to use an Nvidia chipset. DDR3 currently doesn't provide much of an increase in performance (in many cases it's actually slower) than DDR2. If you plan on using only one video card, then an Intel chipset usually provides you with more stability/performance.
