No display - Help

First off, hello everyone. Glad to have found this board.

I'm having a problem on my first PC build. Now, I'm not a total n00b when it comes to swapping parts, taking PC's apart, installing software and what not, but I'm no expert either.

Here is what I'm working with:

ASUS A8V-XE Socket 939 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ CPU
CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) (PC 3200)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB SATA Hard Drive
EVGA GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Card
Thermaltake TR2 W0070RUC ATX 430W Power Supply
Thermaltake CL-P0257 Blue orb II CPU Heatsink & Fan

And now the story:

My uncle gave me a case, DVD & CD rom drives and a power supply. I had the socket 939 chip from when I purchased it a year ago but never bought any of the other parts until now. So, I picked up what I listed above.

My problem is when i boot up the PC, I get no display on the monitor. The CPU fan spins along with the fan on the graphics card, and the case fans as well. I get no beeps either. Oh, one more thing, this MOBO has no onboard video so I have to use a card.

So, I took my MOBO out of the case per the instructions on this site and tried to fire it up that way. (using a screwdriver on the power posts) Still no display, so I removed different parts one by one until I was down to just the CPU, memory and graphics card. Still nothing.... At work I got a proven PCI express basic DVI card to plug my monitor into thinking it was my graphics card that was bad. Still nothing... I picked up a new power supply thinking the original was bad and still, the same results...

Thanks for reading all this.

What are everyones thoughts on the matter? I have my IT people at work pondering this situation and I'm asking here as well.

I'm so amped about getting this thing up and running, but this roadblock is annoying at best.

I really wanna play Supreme Commander..

Can I use PC 2700 RAM in this MOBO? It fits in the slot, but will it work?

I ask because I have proven PC 2700 in this current machine but no other PC 3200 to try.
