157 dollar Pc build!

So i wanted to build a new computer to just mess around with and watch hd media on so i decided to build a new computer.

The case i bought from micro center its a xion $47.00

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811208009

Dvd Drive i used it from a old machine(got a DVD burner in my othercomp)

Harddrive 500GB free from a friend

Motherboard Geforce 7050M-M & AMD Athlon X2 BE-2300 for $69.99

Patriot Memory DDR2 2 Gigs at 800MHz $40.00

So what do you guys think about the price to performance ratio?

Decent salvage work. What are you going to use for a power supply?

Actually the one from the newegg shows it not having the power supply but the microcenter one came with a 450 watt one.

I'd be REAL concerned about usng a power supply that comes preinstalled in a $47 case. Chances are it's a Deer or some equivalent low quality unit. You'll be risking your econo build by using a poor quality psu.

It had something like earth power on it or something of the like any other power supply that would fit my needs without having to raise the cost too high also the power supply fan is the loudest thing in my system.

If I were you when finances allow replace that PSU with a sparkle, they are around $30-40 for a decent one.

The power supply you got from your friend is a good quality one, and should work fine. A good video card for under the HD3850, the 256MB edition should work great, you can pick it up for about $170 from newegg.

I agree with masaki on the card, the 3850 (256) is probably about the best gamer going for under $200. If you really watch the sells and rebates you might pick up the 512 version of the 3850 for right around $200 if you are lucky.
