System seems slow??

Everything is in place now for my new build. It works fine, but it seems delayed. When I scroll down the screen on a website it is jumpy like it isn't loading fast enough. It does the same thing when I move a window. What do you think this means. I am using a ripped version of Windows XP, could that be a problem? Any help would be much appreciated!!

I hope by "ripped version" you mean a slipstreamed copy or merely a copy of an XP disk and you're using a legit Product Key. If not, we'll close this thread since our rules prohibit supporting pirated or illegal software.

In answer to your problem, did you install the video drivers either from the mobo disk for onboard video or the appropriate drivers for your video card.

That happens to me sometimes as well. Restart your computer. Or if that doesn't work, follow panama red's advice.

We all know what "ripped" means. Lol.

I have had that problem happen to me as well. It usually clears up when you install the video card drivers, chipset, and AGP drivers. Try installing all of those and see what happens.

Yeah, don't do anything until the drivers are installed.
