powersupply not fitting
I'm building my first computer and i have an asus m2n-e sli motherboard and an ocz stealthxstream power supply, but the main power connector from the power supply doesn't fill all the spots on the main power plug on the motherboard. it fits in but there are four open spots to the left of it. also the 4 pin atx12v doesn't fit in at all in any orientation. like i said i'm new at this and i have no idea what I've done wrong but i need help. did i buy an incompatible power supply or am i just stupid

New ATX motherboards have a 24pin power connection. You have connected the 20pin section. Your power supply should have the extra four pins somewhere among the other leads. They usually have a little channel to slide into the 20pin block to make 24.
The ATX 12V you mention is a separate connection on the board that still needs to be hooked up. Welcome to PCM.
