You don't need a super motherboard for that system, the P5K will work just fine. Also make sure that is the G92 8800GTS, the old one is considerably slower.

SLI isn't necessary to run an 8800 Ultra, pretty much any motherboard with a pci-e x16 slot will work with a 8800 Ultra, the P5K is a pretty solid motherboard, so you shouldn't have any problems with it.

Having two 8800 Ultras will not give you much of a benefit for the money you have to pay for two of them. You cannot run a 8800GTS with a 8800Ultra in SLI. The P5K vanilla is your best choice.

That's the vanilla P5K. You should have a separate 4 pin CPU power connector with your power supply, if you don't, then you most likely have a 4+4 pin CPU power connector which you can use as either a 8 pin, or 4 pin if you detach them.

That's also a good board, but you won't see much of a difference (if any) compared to the vanilla P5K. If you find the wireless LAN, and other extras useful, then the P5K Deluxe is a better choice. The only major difference in components comes from the integrated sound chipset, the Deluxe version has a much better sound chipset which as support for EAX.

It doesn't support SLI. It supports crossfire.

If you want SLI you will have to pick a Nivida chipset board. They are boards with the 650i, 680i, 750i, 780i, and if it has been released 790i chipsets. I dont recommend SLI but if you want the option you need a board with one of those chipsets.
Also, if you are going with an 8800 GTS now I would forget about getting an Ultra in the future. The new GTS is just a little slower and Nivida is about to release a new generation card anyway which will most likely out perform the Ultra. Kat

Cause we don't feel that the increase in cost is worth the increase in performance.
