Initial Boot Problem

Hey guys, I just booted the computer I'm trying to build for the first time and nothing came up on the monitor and a high-pitched whine issues from the tower. I don't know where the whine is coming from, but it may be the hard drive. Here are my specs, any ideas?

Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Return Policy: Limited Non-Refundable 30-Day Return Policy $219.99

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core
Return Policy: Processors (CPUs) Return Policy $159.99

Microsoft Windows Vista 64-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD - OEM
Return Policy: Software Return Policy $111.49

Antec earthwatts EA500 ATX12V v2.0 500W Power Supply - Retail
Return Policy: Standard Return Policy $79.99

Sony NEC Optiarc Black IDE DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1615/B2s - OEM
Return Policy: Standard Return Policy $17.99

Track 1 G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Retail
Return Policy: Memory (Modules, USB) Return Policy $45.99

Scratch that, it's not coming from the hard drive, I think it may be from the CPU or the GPU. Help?

Make sure it's out of the case.

Make sure all power cables are fully inserted. Check that the heatisnk is fully in.

Following the steps in the thread linked to would be a good idea, but there's no harm in checking that your cables are fully connected first - the noise you're hearing could be an error beep from the video card, if you forgot to connect its 6-pin power connector to the PSU, for example.
