Removing CPU
Since i never done this before I was just wondering what will happen if i remove my cpu, temporary, to put in another system.
After putting it back in my old system will i have to install the OS again, lose any information, or will it just recognize it and just start up normally? |

Once you put it back in, just make sure you put new thermal paste on, and it will recognize it like you never took it out.

It's also important to clean the processor and heatsink thoroughly with rubbing alcohol before you apply new thermal paste, otherwise you could end up insulating the chip from its cooler.
I'd personally only do this if you really need to, but no, your hard drive's contents won't be affected.
