Are you overclocking?
Do you get a blue screen? When it shuts down, does it automatically restart? Have you installed all the newest drivers? |

The best way to update drivers is to go to the manufacturer's website. For instance, for your EVGA graphics card go to EVGA.com and look in the support section then look for driver downloads. EVGA is usually pretty easy, some of them can be a pain in the butt, though. If you have trouble finding drivers come back and let us know.

If that's a LGA775 processor and motherboard you may not have installed the heatsink properly. See this tutorial. Cricket

If I understand your post correctly, you got the system up and running with windows installed. So when you turn on it boots up and goes into the window screen. But, after you are in windows for a few min the system shuts down.
If that is correct it really sounds like you might be having an over heating problem. Drivers wont usually shut down a system, at least not until you do something other then just turn it on. Any of the core componnets could have a off/on type problem but the most obvious suspect as Cricket alluded to is an over heating CPU. When the CPU reaches a certain temperature it has a safty feature that shuts the system down so it does not fry. Check your heat sink and make sure you have it fully seated on the processor. I assume you are using the stock HS with pre-applied thermal pad? If the computer runs for a bit, you can also go into the bios and watch your temps. Get back to us after you have checked out if your cpu is over heating. Kat
