I'm assuming you plan on using this build for gaming, what is your budget? Are you planning on overclocking? A couple observations...
1) Do you really want to go SLI? The motherboard you selected can be used for SLI, unless you plan on eventually getting two video cards for that, you should shoot for an Asus P5K instead. It's a terrible upgrade path, and one good video card is better than two mediocre ones.
2) Why don't you pick Vista instead? If you must go with XP, get an OEM version for much cheaper than the retail one you selected.
3) The RAM you chose is overkill. Get DDR2 800 instead.
4) What's up with that case?
5) You might want to look at the E8400 instead of going quad core.
6) I didn't see a HDD listed. Check out Seagate's 500 GB offering.

A quad core is a better choice than a dual core if you want a future-proof computer since all the programs and games are becoming more targeted towards multiple cores. An Asus P5K-E is a good change from the 780i if you change the video card to a 8800GTS (512MB) or HD3870X2 since both will work fine on the P5K-E motherboard and give you more performance than two 9600GTs in SLI.

O.K. so how about this mobo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131182

And why dont you like the ram , isnt going to be realy fast. That is what we all strive for.

wouldnt it be good if the processor and chipset + ram all ran 1066

That's a good motherboard, but if you want to save $50 without losing much performance or features, take a look at the P5K-E Wifi.

The processor actually runs at 266 (Quad Pumped) and the memory actually runs at 533 (Dual Channel), you don't get much of a boost running ram which runs faster than the processor's FSB, DDR2-800 is currently the best in terms of price to performance, so it would be a better idea to get less expensive ram, and get a better video card since a video card is the most important part of a gaming rig (performance wise).
