Any specific reason you're going with a MSI motherboard?

Samsung drives have awful reliability and I would look at LG, NEC or Lite-On instead.

The other parts look fine.

That ram is overkill unless you plan on overclocking.

Also check out the XFX line of video cards. They just announced a nice price drop. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc..._-NA-_-NA-_-NA

I also think the raptor is overpriced, and a larger cache drive would be better.

As far as the Samsung drive I was not aware of reliability issues so thank you. I will look at one of the others. MSI- Really the main decision is that it's the only boards I have experience with and I have never had any problems with them. The BIOS is familiar to me and I also like the way they their update utility works. I have no problems switching to say ASUS or EVGA so I guess it just out of comfortability.

shawdow- The link you supplied is to a 8800GT and I'm looking to get one of the new versions of the 8800GTS (G92 version) which I hear is now better than the GT, unlike the old 8800GTS' (correct me if I'm wrong). So I looked at the XFX 8800GTS and it's $50 more.

I might do some overclocking thus the choice of memory.

You're absolutely right. I misread that. Sorry about the mix up. Unfortunaley, I don't see them announcing the 8800gts as being reduced in price.

Stay away from MSI, their Customer Support is non-existant. Go with Asus, they are best of the best.
