New build making strange noise
Hello all
I just built this thing for my 42 inch LCD in my living room so I can put a DVD colection on a 500G drive and watch DVDs with out the disks. Works well I installed Vista ultimate . The only thing is when the system is running it makes this scraching sound around the processor , Kinda sound like little sparks or something, And the sound is not only on the board but go,s to the sound also. Its a clean build. You think it could be a bad MoBo ! but how if everthing is working fine. Snap, crackle, pop ?
Realtek released new audio drivers at the beginning of February, if they'll work on your board give them a try. If they don't do the job your best bet becomes an inexpensive sound card.
