Using an old HD in a new machine
My old laptop died on me over the summer. I'm planning on building a new machine this summer, and was wondering if I could salvage some parts.
Is it all practical (or possible) to use my old HD in my new desktop, or should I stop being cheap and just buy a new one? Thanks |

Technically you can. But I believe it will run slower due to the lower rpm. But hdds nowadays are cheap anyways so just get a new one.
Are you sure when your laptop died, it wasn't your harddrive? |
