Exclamation Need feedback on new build for gaming

This is my first build, so I'm having a little difficulty on some decisions, particularly the motherboard and power supply. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231145 x2 (yeah, I know 8GB is more than I need, trying to keep ahead of the game but don't want to spring for ddr3 so soon if I can help it.)

Edit: Almost forgot. Can anyone recommend a case that this will fit in? Thanks.

what is your budget?

what size monitor are you planning on? (this is where SLI will pay off, if you are using a very large monitor.)

Few notes:

Thats a SCSI HD, that usually requires a special MB I think, or seperate controller, dont know much about them myself.

Go for 7200.11 for your other drives, 32 mb cacha.

The 790i mobo only supports DDR 3 ram so you need to change MB or RAM.

I would say two 8900X2 is overkill, but it would be fast.

check out this site for PSU requirements: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html

If you really have the money to build this I would buy a house instead

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure yet about the monitor unfortunately. It's really dependent on what I have left over after all of this. I've got around a $4000 budget, but if I could spend less I would like to.

As for the motherboard, are there any that will support both ddr2 and ddr3? I don't really want to invest in ddr3 at this point because I'm not convinced that it's necessary yet and it's pretty expensive, but if it really is the way of the future I don't want to have to buy a new motherboard to use it if I ever upgrade the RAM.
