Have you checked the connections?

Is it connected to the motherboard, or straight to the power supply?

By not working, I assume you mean it doesn't spin at all?

Try connecting it to a different spot on the mb.

The rear fan is an intake? Fans on the back of the case should be exhaust fans to help remove heat from the case.

So you'll have 6 case fans installed? That seems like way too many fans to me.

I connect case fans directly to the power supply, never to the motherboard fan headers. If that case fan works if you connect it to another fan header then the original fan header burned out (which is why I don't use the motherboard fan headers...puts too much stress on the motherboard power circuit). I would get some 3 to 4 pin power adapters to connect the case fans directly to the power supply and get them off the motherboard fan headers.

If it won't work on another spot on the motherboard, then I would think the fan might be damaged.

Try a different fan on the original connector. If it works, then it's the fan.

Those sound like pass-through power adapters. You connect one end to the power supply molex power connector and then you can daisy chain another 2 to 4 pin power adapter to the free end so you don't use up all the open 4 pin molex power connectors from the power supply. I don't connect more than 4 fans together.

I think so if they're what I think they are. Do they look like this?

Back to a comment cricket made, if that fan is set up as an intake, you need to turn it around. The rear fan should be the outlet, the front and side fans should be bringing the fresh air into the case.

Did you just try the fan you're having problems with or did you try the other fans as well?

If it's just that one fan then I think it's dead.

i have my rear fan set as an intake and after reading this post i switched around and ran it as an exhaust. my temps went from low 30's at load to high 40's. I switched it around again and the temps went back to normal. I use a 120mm blowhole on the top of the case as my primary exhaust.

Thats very odd, what kind of case are you using?

this is the link to the two 92mm (blue) fans in the pic. the rear one is blowing directly onto the CPU cooler fins.

You got a lot of fans in that case pointing all kinds of directions, I have learned over the years that alot of fans don't necessarily cool down and sometimes will cause heat to rise due to turbulence building up in the case causing very bad air flow. Bad Airflow is as bad as no airflow.

I have 2 92mm as intakes, one on the front and one on the rear, the PCI slot fan I use as an exhaust for the GPU below the stock cooling fan and the 120mm blow hole. the CPU cooler blows up to the top 120 and pulls any hot air from the GPU. the one on the HDD cradle I had left over, its not plugged in i just haven't removed it. the front 92 blows over the HDDs anyway so its not really needed. with the fans in this configuration i get 19 to 20C at idle and 31-33C at load and the GPU hasn't gone above 47C.
