Congrats.

Did you install security software (antivirus, antispyware)?

Did you go to Windows Updates to get the critical updates?

If you are not going to connect to the internet, there is very little risk of getting viruses, spyware and such. You cannot get windows updates without connecting to the internet, but again for the most part you won't need them since you will not be connected to the internet. Make sure you get security software when you connect to the internet.

I would, and have done this several times, just go to the sites and download the security programs and windows updates. I basically trust hose sites enough to get in and get out.

Or, you could download the securiy programs on a different computer and us a usb flash drive to transfer them over and then install them on your new build.

For recommendations I would use, and do use the following:

Avast anti-virus
Spybot Search and Destroy
SpywareBlaster
Avg Anti-spyware
CCleaner
