total = 198.95 + shippping

Wil be reusing case, xp disk and Seagate 160 PATA

Or should I just cut it out and go with this FSP http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

I'm really trying to keep cost down and justify building over buying prebuilt. I reallly wanted to reuse one of his Liteon drives, but I couldn't find a board that would suppport dual core and two PATA drives. So I chose to reuse his Hdd and buy an SATA optical.

Good list. I'd go with DDR2-800 for an AMD build. Either PSU would work but I'd choose the FSP unit myself.

I'd go with a Retail burner to get software. LiteOn drives come with Nero.

Thanks. I do appreciate the feedback. I've been toying with configurations the last two days trying to use good parts and overlooked which memory standard. I found out today $250 - $270 is current max and has to include shippping. I should be able to change ram and still be in the ballpark.

You mentioned DD2 800, but when I looked at specs it says 1066. Will 800 work?

That just means the motherboard supports up to DDR2 1066. You can run whatever speed DDR2 you want as long as it's 1066 or less. DDR2800 will work fine, and will save you some money.
