Help!!!!

I just finished building my first new computer.

Mobo: Asus P5E3 Premium
CPU: Q9450
GPU: Saphire HD3870 x2
Hard drive: western digital raptor WD1500ADFD
PSU: Power and Cooling Silencer 750 watt
Cd drivers: Liteon 20x dvd writer
Memory: Ocz ddr3 1600
Case: Cooler master 832 stacker

When i turn it on i see all the fans running and the green light on the mobo is on but when i put the windows xp x64 disk in nothing happens. Doesnt show any bootup menu or anything just a black screen. Can anybody please HELP me. Please respond asap.

Are both of the power connections in place?

Thnaks for the response. Both of the power connections are in place. I just found out that none of the usb ports are working. Could this have any effect on stating up the os. I tested the usb by puting a whireless mouse into it and no reaction. Please respond asap.

If you're not getting it to post, then you really need to try to follow the procedures outlined in that link alaron gave you.

Also, you might want to try a wired mouse and keyboard when setting up initially.
