please help before i get the hammer

PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS HELP I NEED IT ASAP

My son boutght parts to build his own computer.him and a friend put this together, everything turns on, lights come on fans come ya can hear the beep when ya start it. the problem we are having is when we turn on the computer, the monitor shuts downa nd goes to a standy by, weve tried three monitors and the same thing, we even got a new motherboard thinking it was that.weve taking it apart 3 times and still same thing monitor goes into sleep mode any helpful hints?

If it doesn't work, then post back and list all parts, make and model, including power supply.
