Need Help!
hey guys just put my build together and its not working, it doesn't start up. I followed the sticky on new build trouble and when I put the screwdriver to the two power pins it started up and then shut off, so then I put everything back it the case and I have the same problem as before. I turn on the power and nothing happens. Any ideas on what it could be?

So you didn't get a post with the out of case build? Or did you, and then you manually shut it off?

So you didn't see anything on the screen?
I would take everything back out of the case, cause that means one of those parts is bad. What bios version do you have? http://support.asus.com/technicaldoc...en-us&root=252 |

I would suspect one of two things first. Either that bios doesn't support the cpu, which is a bit unlikely if it's a new motherboard since that processor has been out for a while, or I would start by switching out the power supply.
I would also use the stock heatsink for testing purposes. Did you try changing the input or source on your monitor? |

There should be a button on the monitor. Make sure it's digital. That way you can see a display.

To check ram, if you have two sticks, just try one at a time, in each slot, then try the other one and try each slot.

Haha wow I tried something and I amazed it worked. Well basically I just shorted the two power pins while it was in the case, and it started up :P I tried it because I thought that maybe inside my case it was grounding my board somehow. Now all I need to do is put everything back together and load up and I'm good. Thanks so much shadow, I really owe ya one because I couldn't of done it without ya ;P
