Everything looks good. About the video card, its up to you. I have an 8800 GT 512mb OC and from the reviews ive read, the GTX isnt really that much better than leaps and bounds. I would wither get an 8800 GT or thats GTX.

i would go with one of the 7200.11 HDD like this. It has 32mb cache instead of only 16.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148309 also you might want to consider 8800 gts 512 (g92) good price/performance. |

Unless you plan on overclocking, you can drop the ram down to ddr2-800.
I second getting a 7200.11 series seagate hard drive.

Basically, agree with others. If not planning on serious OC then drop to DDR2 800 ram, the faster ram will just step down to processor speed anyway. On HD go for the 32 mb cache for faster seek times. Not a real noticable improment but they are about the same price.
The older 8800 GTX is a bit slower I think but with 768 mb on board memory instead of 512 it has some advantages in certain games when running high Resolutions and Antiliasing. For raw speed the 9800 GTX is faster. Check out this review: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...view,1800.html The problem that both face is they are over a $100 more than the 8800 GT and GTS and the performance difference is just not that great so as others have mentioned they kind of miss the sweet spot in the market. Still, if it fits in your budget they are faster without a doubt. Not sure if you have older CD/DVD or just already bought it, but just as a worning, the newer MB do not have native IDE support so if your burner is IDE you might think about picking up a new SATA one for around $30 since it is a new build. Cheap insurance to make sure everything goes together smooth, the 3rd party controllers have been somewhat problomatic from what I have read. Kat

Thanks for all the help so far really appericate it. I also forgot to mention I have a 650watt power supply already. If your wondering I'm trying to build the best possible computer within my budget (which is around 1200) to play Ago Of Conan on.
I decide to make the following changes: BFG Tech BFGE98512GTXOCXE GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - $354.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143132 This seems like the best single video card I could find. Seagate Barracuda ES.2 ST3250310NS 250GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive -$79.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...pk=ST3250310NS I agree, why not for only $15 more. OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory -$114.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227267 Took your advice and went down to 800 since I don't plan on OC'in. Thanks again to all those who helped

That 9800gtx is going for $270 shipped? No reason to get the other card. |

That one is already OC'ed, 755MHz (vs. 675MHz standard), 2300MHz (vs. 2200MHz standard). Do you think it's worth the extra cost?

what size monitor are you using? if you are using 24" and below then I would reocmmend sticking with a none SLI set up. The SLI will be a little bit faster, but the real advantage is in resolution which does not kick in until you are on a larger monitor. Also, I think your 650w PSU will be a bit small for a GTS set up but I could be wrong. check out the Nvidia site for power requirements but I think the minimum is like 750w.

Definitely listen to Kat. Unless you are high res/large screen gaming sli is not a good choice atm.
If you really want something like that, get a 9800gx2. |

Alright with that info I guess there is not point in getting two,
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard - $89.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128059 MSI NX8800GTS 512M OC GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card -$224.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127325 COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-750-ACAA-A1 ATX12V / EPS12V 750W Power Supply 115/ 230 V Nemko, TUV, cUL, CE, BSMI, FCC, CCC -$129.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171024 I think my 650W should be fine but if it's not I'll probably get this one. |

For a single card set up 650 w should be plenty. With your proposed set up you could probably get by with 550w or so and be comfortable. But a bit more gives you headroom to upgrade in the future.
