Let's try this again.

It's coming close to the release of AoC and I'm deciding on building again.
I've kind of got my mind set on what I want, but there were some things I wasn't sure of.

My main use for this PC will be gaming. I occasionally do some video editing also.
Overclocking isn't a huge deal for me. It's fun to play around with, but I doubt I would absolutely need it. With that said I drop the RAM to some Corsair DDR2 800, but I'm not sure about the motherboard. The one I currently have selected seems a bit overkill if I don't plan to overclock.

Case:
Antec 900

CD/DVD Burner:
Lite-On Sata

RAM:
4GB Corsair DDR2 1066
4GB Corsair DDR2 800
4GB Corsair DDR2 800
What's the difference than the two DDR2 800 sticks?
Debating on 8GB

HDD:
Seagate 7200.11 1TB
Seagate 7200.11 750GB
I stream a lot of movies from my PC to my 360/PS3. Not sure if I can justify $90 for 250GB though.

CPU:
Intel E8400
I wanted the Q9450 at first, but since Newegg took it off their site I may just go with this.

Graphics:
9800GX2
9800GTX
9800GTX
What's the difference in the two GTX cards? $50 for the higher clock speeds?

Motherboard:
Asus P5E X38

Power Supply:
OCZ 700W

That seems to be everything. I already own a copy of Vista 64 Ultimate.

Do you need SLI? If not, you could go with a P35 motherboard such as the Asus P5K-E. The difference between the Corsair memory is one has a larger heatspreader for over clocking and things like that. Doubt you will need it. I'd stick with the less expensive 4 GB DDR2 800 kit. I'd be more inclined to choose a Corsair PSU. I think the 620HX should be sufficient, but I am not an expert in that area. Here's the link to it.

Both CPU's seem to have great reviews. I chose OCZ because of the price over the Corsair.

Thanks for the info alex530.

Lets see...

Case: Great!
Burner: Nice
RAM: No need for 1066 w/out OC. Go w/ the cheaper 800MHz RAM. I've got that same type in my rig and they're good.
HDD: Good
CPU: You can always go w/ the Q9300 if you have your heart set on quad-core. However, unless you do a lot of serious multitasking, you're better off for gaming w/ the E8400. Quad core doesn't do a lot to enhance games... it shines with lots of programs open. Dual core at a faster speed will be better (and cheaper).
Graphics: Holy crap man...if you can affort the GX2 it's the best... but I'm not personally convinced that twice the price is getting you twice the performance.
Mobo: Fine
PSU: I recommend corsair. Thier 750w is a good item and worth the price (plus it comes in a bag just like Crown Royale... great for storing cords and left over connectors.
