New Gaming Rig
Okay, my buddy has decided to build a new gaming rig for himself. He has a budget of $850 or so before rebates are applied. He has decided to go with an AMD cpu and nvidia graphics..
He will also need a monitor, but my question is just are all these parts solid and will work well together etc.. Any other suggestions maybe on processor or a better mobo, though I've used MSI mobos with no problems.. Any insight would be appreciated. You posted the link for the case twice instead of the power supply.
Looks solid so far but if your friend is on a tight budget you can drop the ram to 2 GB instead of 4. What OS is he going to use ?

I would try to find the money for a 512 8800GT instead. Otherwise I think your buddy is going to be very disappointed with the frame rates of the newer games. Gaming computers are very dependent on having a fast graphics card.

The 8800GT is only about 10% faster than a stock clocked 9600GT.
