1st time build - have big problem!

I have built my first computer, and Everything seemed fine til i pluged in the monitor. There is no picture, just a blank "your monitor is working properly" screen. There are also no beeps. Mobo light is on, as is dvd drive, fans are working. I have checked my connections, tried resetting the jumpers, nothing is working. here is setup:

ASUS P5N32-SLI SE DELUXE 775 MOTHERBOARD CORE 2 DUO
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 PCI
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V Modular LED Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb HD
mushkin 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
XFX PVT73GUGF3 GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Vcard
COOLER MASTER Elite 330 RC-330-KKN1-GP Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

there is a spot on the graphics card that seems like the power may plug in, but there is no mention of this in the setup. please help )

Your graphics can doesn't have a separate power connection from the photos I found. If your model does have one, plug it in for sure.

If that doesn't help. try this: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

Welcome to PCM.

I had same symptoms and I re-seated RAM in different slot and it booted with monitor working. If it is video card problem generally you would get a beep code. Since no beeps I'm guessing memory problem.

That plug in the center of the card is powering the fan. It's fine as is.

Try the procedure I linked to earlier.

okay - went through procedure out of case, booted up (yay!). Got things back in case, booted up (yay!). Hooked up all other items, and got nada. So decided to do process of elimination, and all components seem to be okay, still not posting.

Hook the other stuff back up one at a time and then tell us what stops it from working after you plug such and such in.

question.. are we supposed to plug in the monitor, etc.. with the computer .."OFF", then turn the computer on, deal with it as 'found new hardware'.. then load the the new drivers as ad new hardware in the control panel.

i am about to turn my new build on this week..

Plug everything in witht he PC off, then install Windows. During the Windows installation the installer will automatically install what drivers it can for your hardware, so you probably won't get a found new hardware message. But you still need to install the motherboard and video drivers and any other drivers the Windows installation couldn't install.

Replaced Mushkin memory with Kingston, got a good response and started to boot. This was with everything out of the case, also put thermal paste on as comp was shutting down, that got fixed. Put basics back in case, rebooted, got good response with beeps. got all parts in, began to boot, would get to black screen with blinking dash then stop boot process, just go back to black screen. Removed HD (after which got new message re: SATA devices), sound card, modem, dvd drive, all one at a time then rebooting, no change, back to basics, and nothing. No beeps, no screen. Could i have a bad motherboard? It's all thats left! The only thing i have not switched out is the graphics card.
