smokin Upgrading to water cooling

Hello all
Well it looks like I’m ready to make the next step , Im not new to OEM building however Iv never put together a water cooling set. heres the system at hand

I know you guys are looking at it like ( Why didnt he use an ATI video card on a crossfire MOBO ) I know this was my very first system I built , Iv been building a lot for other people since then. O.K. so what Im doing is Im starting to play a lot of games and notice how the system gets used and how much better I could be doing with this MOBO. I plan on getting

with

You guys think this is a good upgrade. Please advise If you think I should be doing something different , Is my 2 GIGs ram ok , I can only go to 3 since Im running XP Pro 32bit.

Thanks for your comments in advance.

Anyway. As far as upgrades for gaming go, I would suggest upgrading your video card over your CPU. The 8600 GTS is quite dated, and for only 160 you can get a Radeon HD 4850 which should about triple your Graphical performance.

However if you feel compelled to upgrade your CPU, instead of the Q6600 I would suggest the E8400. For gaming, it's the best bang/buck CPU you'll find, partially due to games not really supporting quad processors yet.

And about water cooling... I don't know anything about water cooling

But two gigs of RAM is fine.

I would agree with Cantputt, you best bang for the buck would be a video card upgrade if you are going for game quality. The quad / duel core questions is not really an issue for gaminig because both of those processors will be fast enough. If you do a lot of multi taskiing the quad has advantages, if you have certain applications that need speed then the duel core is faster. But both are plenty fast for games which are bottlenecked at the video card. 2 GB of ram is plenty for most games but if you upgrade I would go for 4 just because it is cheap and xp will see all 4 GB, the applications can not access all 4 GB but the OS and drivers will use it.

As for watercooling why do you want it? With newer systems heat is not as big an issue as it use to be and water cooliing introduces some problems of its own. If you do not need it I would stay away from it. But that is just my opinion.

Well Iv made my mind up. Im going with

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835128015

first , Since the video card has been doing very well for me I can wait on getting a new one. The only thing I worry about is getting hot when I play for a long time. This is why Im getting the water cooling set. The video and game gets a little slower when I play for a long time because it get very hot. Me dont like. Also I overclock everything a littl so. Must have water. My processor was running a 2.13GHz and now I have it @ 2.40GHz. With water cooling I can over clock at will. Once I get more $ ill stick the Quad in and then the video card you guys said.

At what point do you guys think I should change MOBOs.
