New Build List
I'm building a new PC for a family member (for office use, etc). Here is the list of parts I am looking at. Basically the only thing I am not sure about is the motherboard. I need something ASUS made that would be good for the 5200+ processor I picked out, also with onboard video (if really necessary I can get w/o onboard and buy a cheap graphics card). If anyone has additional suggestions let me know. I am also going to buy windows XP from newegg, still deciding whether to go home or pro.

Looks like pretty good parts list, will let others comment on the AMD part.
For a home office computer,XP Home is plenty good.

You could drop the RAM down to DDR2-800 and save some money.
Also, a retail version of your DVD drive will come with burning software. |
