wierd no video problem help please

Hi,
So I am having this really wierd no video problem with my computer. If I start it with the power button I get no screen/video, but If I start it manually with a screwdriver it starts normally and I get video. I believe its something with the little power, reset, and speaker connectors connecting to the motherboad. When I disconnect these and start it manually it works fine, but when I try it with the power button it will start up just no screen. The build is as follows:

apevia x-navigator case
asus m2n-sli deluxe mb
amd 6000+ cpu
mushkin ram

if you can start the PC by touching the PWR pins on the mobo with a screw driver, then the problem is with the case switches in that it is bad, case is miss wired or have the wrong wires from the case to the mobo or the correct case wires on the wrong pins.
