Machine for office use

One of my customers has finally been nagged into changing the office machine.
We are looking for something that will run multiple windows of Word open at the same time, can surf the internet and have reasonable storage space.
This is a Solicitor/Lawyers office so document backup/safety is paramount.
I would prefer Intel.
Raid is not out of the question.
It must have wireless internet access.
Pro's and cons for using XP pro?
Pro's and cons for using Vista business?

We also need a wireless print server for a Xerox Workcenter 4118.
I want to avoid a router so the wireless will need to be able to connect to the upstairs wireless modem and act as a router for whatever wireless device we go with for the Xerox machine.

Right. Any suggestions?

Would start with an Asus P5Q board(has RAID), get a basic video card with DVI outputs, 22" monitor(for the multipule open Word documents. 2gigs of ram, basic Allendale Intel CPU. For back-up, would consider an external HD.
As for using Vista or XP, would double check to see if the apps they have will work with Vista.

Can't ague with the parts section but the backup bit I'll disagree. Lately I've seen more and more small companies use external HDD was backup devices: lets face it they're cheaper than tape backup. But, aren't really upto the task within a corporate/business environment.

Remember these 3.5 inch external hard-drive units use desktop drives that don't have the protection features their smaller 2.5 inch laptop brethren have. Thus, if someone accidental knocks the drive it can fail with total loss of data. And, this past couple of weeks I've had to replace several Seagate based external drives for this very reason.

My advice would be to get/build a NAS device. You can create mirrored RAID and allow all machines on the network to backup and access it.

But as usual they are tearing my heart out with their shipping charges.

rjfvillarosa, you make no mention of a case, are you planning to 'slap' the parts in a barebones system?

I have a Thermaltake "wings" case left over from another job and PR just got me two of these via that free shipping deal Newegg are offering.

edit..
Found it. I bought six of these on offer back before last Christmas, built a new machine for myself, used four up on a job and kept one as stock and not had a reason to use it until now.
