Don't get an ecs motherboard. I don't think they're the greatest quality.

I would suggest the asus p5q, or a gigabyte motherboard that uses the p45 chipset.

no need for the extra heatsink unless you're overclocking.

Get a better power supply. What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside
And no need for that much wattage. A corsair 750 is more then enough, and they have a good deal right now.

Have heard that cl4 ram can cause problems. I would just get cl5 ram.

Get this hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148298

The wattage is so high due to the fact that it decreases when the capacitors age. but ill look into a smaller one for sure. it was the least stable of my parts. i was planing on overclocking to 3.0 so i want the heatsink either way and ill look into cl5. The hard drive is pretty much the same as mine. cache for hdd doesn't matter to much just for programs that run either way and i don't mind maybe an extra second on startup =p

As for the ECS the black edition is their top product and i have faith in it. i might change my mind though

Errrrrr...

I have never seen a high-quality PSU stop being able to put out enough power to run the same system as it gets older. Just get a unit manufactured by Channel Well or FSP or a similarly high-quality manufacturer and you'll be fine.
