Mouse and keyboard do not register

Hi, I just built a system with intel q6600 processor, biostar tf7150u-m7 motherboard. Everything appears to work fine, the monitor connects and everything but the mouse and keyboard do not power up or connect to the system. Help please

Check to see if there's a usb option in the bios.

If nothing in the bios makes a difference, then I would install windows using the ps/2 keyboard and mouse, and then after that turn the computer off and switch in the usb ones. Then restart. They should work once windows starts. You'll just have trouble getting into bios.

I had the same problem with my recent first build.

USB Razer Copperhead mouse - recognized immediately.
USB Razer Tarantula keyboard - still won't recognize at startup or in BIOS (after much tinkering in BIOS), but works fine when Vista is loaded.

Now I just keep a PS/2 keyboard handy for forays into BIOS.
